It will work but one of the units must be plugged in to the dsl via cable and must have a direct line of sight with the other unit, which will be plugged into an electrical outlet in your building.

Yes they can be used to bridge anything that is ethernet based. You could hardwire in a POE switch on the far side and then hang multiple POE cameras off of it or you could hang another access point off of it and then use wireless cameras that were within range of the access point. They are powered by either Poe switch or the Poe injector supplied with M5 nanostation.
